During the state of the nation address that was delivered by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, he talked about the weakness of the IGG where by there very many whistle blowers who cannot report corruption cases to the organisation simply because of it’s incompetence and this has forced the president to create another parallel committee that will handle the corruption cases.
According to the president, the Inspectorate of Government has lost confidence among the people and that is the sole reason why he decided to create a unit in State house to deal corruption cases most importantly the ones that occur in the public service.
According to Mulyagonja who was responding to questions raised by journalists, her organisation still has the capacity to handle corruption cases in the public service. We could soon see Mulyagonja head out of IGG.
