My dad flew recently to visit with us. It was hard to know how things would be for him flying with all the covid-19 regulations, but thankfully, he flew without any difficulties at all.

One day we visited Schweitzer Resort. It was a spectacular day with lots of incredible scenery. |
 |
There was still snow at the top of the mountain, with lots of water running down the mountainside.
 | Singing waterfalls were found in many bends of the roads.
 | One afternoon we went down to our little lake to enjoy the warm spring sunshine and soak in the beauty of the lake.

One afternoon we visited some neighbors and their donkeys wanted to visit with us too! They have 2 donkeys, a brother and a sister, Fred and Wilma... sweet and friendly souls!
We had several picnic lunches, but our favorite was the sandwich from a local Mennonite store, and we took it to the riverbank, and enjoyed the view. Their sandwiches are so huge that we could only eat half, and saved the other half for another day's adventure :)
Our attempt at a selfie together ;)
Dad helped me with getting some vehicle maintenance done, and this little station was a throwback to many years ago with their vintage gas pump!
And since neither one of us can resist a good piece of pie, we enjoyed a piece of this cafe's homemade lemon pie... oh sweet delight!
I took Dad by to see some dear friends of mine who have been shut in because of the covid. We visited outside, and he loved looking at their beautiful vintage pickup.
All too soon, our good times together had come to a close, and it was time for Dad to fly back home. Oh how we've missed having him here! It was such a wonderful visit in every way, and we look forward to when he and my mother are able to return for another visit soon.

With all that is going on in our world right now, I find my solace in walking in early mornings and late evenings in the golden light of those hours. One evening as I was walking the dogs, my heart was heavy for the sadness and heartache in the world. As I glanced up to the skies, I couldn't hardly believe what I was seeing. Do you see it too? I do believe the Lord speaks to us through His creation, and as this incredibly gentle yet invincible hand appeared in the sky, I felt as though it was the LORD reassuring me that this is still HIS world, and He does hold this world in the palm of His hand. We can rest in that comfort, despite the unsettling things happening in our world around us. I pray your heart will be comforted, knowing that His Hand still holds this world, and nothing escapes His attention. It brings great peace to my heart to know and see His picture in the sky for me... and for you...
If you have a social media account, and would like to share the above picture, I welcome you to do so. Perhaps it will encourage another's heart, as it has mine.
With much love and blessings to all!
