Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun is jumping to his defense following recent claims the pop star shouted out racial slurs during a fight in 2016.

Braun accuses Bieber of being "blackmailed" by a man who has been trying to squeeze money out of the singer for "several years".
"Justin Bieber has done a lot of stupid things in his past but what he has also done is apologize and own those mistakes," Braun tweeted on Friday.
"This most recent claim against him is completely false and a fabrication from a man who tried to push for money for the last several years," he added.
Braun is clapping back at Rodney Cannon, who has accused Bieber of spewing out racial epithets during a street fight in Cleveland back in 2016. Braun says,
"It is disgusting to me to see this man lie and try to bring race into a situation to scare us into a payment again." He is adamant that Cannon "Never said these things before because they never happened," and that "This is a smear tactic to get money and it's gross."
In Cannon's lawsuit, he claims Bieber used "racial epithets" during the brawl after the NBA Finals in 2016, and sources close to the case say the slur was the "N-word."
Braun concluded his Twitter rant in defense of Bieber by calling the accusations "completely false and we won't be scared or blackmailed. This man should be ashamed of himself. Real racism exists.. but it doesn't apply here. Just horrible."
