Alfa Romeo 4C Competizione Launches With Custom Touches In Australia












Alfa Romeo is attempting to make the world notice the aging 4C again with a launch of the Competizione Limited Edition.



The Italian car manufacturer is building just 108 units of the 4C Competizione Limited Edition for global markets, 10 of which are bound for Australia shores priced at a cool AUD$119,000 ($80,817 USD).


Changes made to the 4C Competizione Limited Edition are limited compared the standard model. Most notably, the car comes standard with an Akrapovic dual-mode exhaust system that provides different exhaust notes depending on what driving mode the owner has selected. For example, in Normal and All-weather modes, the exhaust is very quiet while in Race mode, it pumps out a sonorous soundtrack.

The 4C Competizione Limited Edition will be available solely in Vesuvio Matte Grey paint complete with a matte black and red livery on the bonnet, roof, and rear decklid. There is also a carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon wing mirrors, and carbon side air intakes. Dark alloy wheels measure 18-inches at the front and 19-inches at the rear come standard and sit over a set of red brake calipers.


As for the cabin, it receives black leather and microfiber seats as well as a leather sport steering wheel with microfiber inserts and red stitching. Each example will also be fitted with a numbered limited edition badge stamped proudly in the center console and an Alpine Premium Sound System that includes a subwoofer mounted behind the seats.


The car is powered by the same 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as standard models delivering 237 HP and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque.
